The Person Behind Hippie Seeds
Hello, I'm Ray Osmolski, founder of Illinois Hemp & Seed Co., LLC® and Hippie Seeds.
My journey has never been about simply selling products. Throughout my career, I've enjoyed solving problems, learning new skills, and helping others succeed.
Before entering the hemp industry, I spent many years working in technology, supporting schools, businesses, and organizations with computers, networking, and technical solutions. One thing I learned was that the best way to help people is by teaching them, not just giving them an answer.
That same philosophy guides Hippie Seeds today.
When Illinois created its industrial hemp program, I saw an opportunity to become part of rebuilding an American agricultural crop with a long and important history.
Beginning in 2019, I started growing hemp in Illinois, learning through both successes and setbacks. Every season taught me something new about genetics, cultivation, and the importance of preserving quality seed stock.
Today, my goal is bigger than selling seeds.
I want Hippie Seeds to become a trusted educational resource where growers, researchers, and enthusiasts can learn about hemp genetics and responsible cultivation.
I also enjoy exploring new technologies like artificial intelligence and finding practical ways they can help small businesses, farmers, and educators work more efficiently.
